A
pond pump filter
will help keep leaves, dirt, and other debris out of your pump. This
is a great way to avoid clogs in your pump. It will also help protect
your fish and other plant life from bacteria that can form when leaves
and other debris fall into your pond.
There are several different types of pond pump filters:
- Submersible Pump Filter – This type
of filter is great for small backyard ponds.
- UV Filter – This filter is great for
keeping your pond clear and clean. It helps regulate algae and bacteria
which can cause your pond to look green and dirty. No one wants a
swamp in their backyard!
- Bead Filters – This filter is designed
for a large pond with large amounts of pond life (fish, plants, etc.).
Cleaning your pond pump filter is another easy way to keep your pond
clean. The best way to know how often to clean it is to check periodically
in the beginning to see just how much your pump filter is collecting.
Ponds that are located near trees will require their filter to be cleaned
more often as they are more likely to have leaves and other items fall
into them.
A pond pump filter is a great tool for keeping your water clean and
your pond life healthy.
